The 'Trade Your Sole For Art' ATCs were a popular activity as part of the July 20th, 2002 Moss St. Paint-In (organized annually by the Victoria Art Gallery). As 89 other artists, at booths all along Moss Street, created, displayed, and sold their work, at this booth people "made an impression" and traded ATCs. The Non-toxic water-based printing ink was rolled out and participants made a fake foot print by printing the side of their fist and using their finger to print the toes. The resulting "sole cards" could be traded for one of my own ATCs of their choice, or for a second sole print which they could keep.
During the 3 hours of the Paint-In some 50 brave soles 'put their best foot forward' to print and trade ATCs, facilitated by myself and my lovely assistant Elizabeth Litton.
